More Christmas and New Years

As always, a lot of our Christmas fun took place at both of our parents house. Christmas Eve celebrations started at Danny's parents house with fun Christmas Eve books, and a show and the Nativity with cousins. Natalie's kids had prepared a dance, and William, being the shy kid that he is (yeah right), had to stand front and center with them. They did a great job, and he was hilarious, mimicking all of their actions. For the Nativity William was a shepherd, but you might have mistaken him for a wiseman the way he was strutting around in his costume (an adult size Mexican vest that dragged on the floor behind him). I didn't have my camera, but if I can track some pictures down then I'll post them (I stole this picture from Natalie...he'd already taken off his vest though). As a dutiful shepherd he went straight to see the baby Jesus (Baby Dallin), sat down, held out his arms and said "hold!"
We then ventured to my parents for our annual Christmas Eve party. We had a DELICIOUS German dinner, and then had fun exchanging gifts and hanging out. William was spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa. He got a fun train set, a digger, and a U of U sweatsuit. When he opened the sweatsuit, he got SO excited, practically wripping his clothes off, while yelling "on! on!" and trying to put it on. As soon as it was on he ran circles around the upstairs cheering. Later, when we got to open our Christmas PJs, he saw his firetruck jammies and did the same thing with those!
Last year my parents went to Europe in early December, and bought each family pieces from beautiful Nativity sets from Germany. We got Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. This year it was fun to get the shepherds. I love Nativities, so it was fun to add to this one.
Then came Christmas Day. After church we headed over to my parents for a while with my extended family, and then we were off to Gma and Gpa Young's house for more cousin fun. William was once again spoiled by his Grandparents. But one of his favorite gifts was a box of musical instruments. I wish I'd gotten a video of the marching band that broke out. Thomas got this trumpet for Christmas, and some of the other kids grabbed drums and such and joined in. William marched around, leading the way, tooting as hard as he could!
We also had fun making "kid history" shirts for Kensie, Lincoln, Jackson, and Landon. Just another reason I love my Cricut! I'll have to find some pictures of those, too. Jackson's face was priceless when he discovered his shirt said "Oceanography.... FACT!"

No Christmas is complete without playing in the boxes that the presents came in...
Grandma and Grandpa Young also got each family a Music Maker. They have one at their house as well.
William got decked out for the Utah Bowl game on New Years Eve. Tom and Katie taught William how to put his hand up in the air like a big "U"

And William once again LOVED having a chance to get to hold cute baby Dallin on New Years at Grandma and Grandpa's.
William is so soft with him! I can't believe it's only 2 months?!?! until will have our own sweet little baby around!

Happy New Years!
