I'm beginning to think that a post isn't on time unless it's a week late around here, but we had a fantastic Christmas! These are the pics from Christmas morning because I haven't loaded the rest on the computer yet. William was SPOILED everywhere we went. It's been so long since we've gotten him some new toys, so he was due for at least a little bit. We tried to get him some things besides cars, but had to get him some of those, too, because let's be honest, it's what he loves the most!
I got Danny and William some U of U balls... William is a Utah (tu-tah) FAN. It seemed like he liked them before he ever was even exposed to them, like the way he'd carry around cousin Max's Lightning McQueen before he had ever seen the movie.
These tub "stickers" have been a huge hit too. He asks to get in the tub ALL the time now, and stays in for forever! He got some cars and giant blocks. One of his favorite things about the blocks is that there are the ones that have archways so he can drive his cars under them. He's getting good at building towers too!
This next one is of him opening the play food we got him. When he saw what it was he said, "No. No dad. More cars!" He plays with it a lot now, though. One of the first things he says in the morning when he wakes up is, "cook!"
And last the best: LIGHTNING MCQUEEN! Our ward has a play group, and when it's cold we usually go to the gym and let them run around. Everyone brings trikes and push toys. Well, recently someone started bringing one of these, and William HAD to have it. He's a pretty passionate kid when it comes to what he loves (and doesn't love), so if the kid who had it came and wanted to play with it, we usually left early. Luckily everyone shares toys, and other people's toys are better than your own, so he'd let William use it a lot. We saw this one on sale and couldn't resist. He LOVES it.
William drove "Ma Keen" over to the tree to show him all the lights.
Danny spoiled me too, and we had a blast being able to focus our morning on William, letting him play with each present for a minute as he went a long. All throughout the day he would stop what he was doing and throw his arms in the air saying "woo hoo! Cars!"
