swimming and the zoo

Usually I have my camera and take way too many pictures, but going places with 2 kids is enough to fill my hands, and so I've been glad that other people have taken pictures for me! Summer has given us lots of fun opportunities to hang out with family. Last weekend we got to go swimming with our cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's neighbor's pool. Annie had been swimming a few times before, but these are the first pictures of her in the water. Thank you Andrea for taking them!  

 Annie is a champ in the water. She doesn't mind having it splashed in her face a little bit, and really doesn't seem to mind going under. William had his first encounter with a diving board, and loved it. Surprise. He would jump off of anything right now. He didn't, however, love the giant blow-up bananas. Wouldn't even go in the deep end if they were there.

 I'm so glad they love the water though. I love my little fishies!

 Then a few days ago we got to go to the zoo with my brother Leo. William and Ann have some great aunts and uncles, and they love them and spoil them. Leo got some great pictures on his phone, so I hope he doesn't mind me posting them here! When we saw this monkey, I couldn't help but think of the head gear our older brother used to wear...

 William also loves this bridge. He loves running back and forth and jumping on it.

 Leo also helped him discover the eggs and the spider's web. He's never been too interested in them before, but he loved following Uncle Leo in there. We had such a fun time with him. It was fun to watch Leo get down and dirty with William, and to watch William who absolutely loved the attention. We are lucky to have such wonderful family!!!
