We decided to spend the night up there, and as always I worry way too much. Both of them slept SO well. William was a little uneasy about it at first, being in a new place (we hadn't been up since last year, and he's a little out of practice at sleeping in other places), but once Buzz and Woody got in his bed (and we bribed him a little bit), he dove right in and slept through the night. Our little missy slept the same she would have at home, so it was a good night!
When we told William we were going to the cabin he said, "I get dirty?" and boy did he ever.
He LOVED going down to the lake and jumping right in! He ran around in that cold water all afternoon. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and I was glad I wore my chacos so I could jump in with him. The cool water felt good on the hot afternoon.
Some of the cousins didn't bring water shoes, but William had fun with Thomas. They loved throwing rocks in the water.William ran around calling himself Max, and saying he was going fishing with Goofy. The Goofy Movie obsession continues.
The reservoir was so clear, and the trees were so green. I loved all the smells up there. I almost found myself back at Brighton Camp a few times when I stood close to the pine trees.
"You all wet!!"
Thomas was ready to go before William was, so William and I stuck around for a while longer. It was sure fun to hang out with my little man. I sat down in the dirt and he ran up behind me and threw his arms around my neck for a big hug. Nothing better!
After cleaning up, the boys had fun wrestling with Grandpa!
These three boys are all pretty close in age, and it's fun to see them grow up together. Nothing better than twinkies! One of Grandpa's favorite treats. William had never had one before, but was sure happy about it once he found what was inside!
We had fun celebrating Grandma and Grandpa. They do so much for all of us, and work hard to make our get-togethers a fun experience for everyone. We didn't have a picture of all of us together since before William was born, so it was nice to chance to get one! The group is sure growing.
Here we are almost three years ago! Sorry it's a little fuzzy.
