Blessed

On Sunday Danny gave Ann a name and a blessing in church. Ann Eddington is named after her two grandmas. Most of the time I was pregnant with her, Ann Eddington was one of our top three names, but I always had my doubts, even up to our trip to the hospital. But as they handed me our beautiful little newborn girl, I felt strongly that she was to be named after her grandmas. One look at her and I knew that she was an Ann! They are both incredible women, and we hope that she'll be able to become like them!
My mom made her blessing dress out of left-over fabric from my wedding dress, which she also made. So much time and love went into every detail on it, and even the slip underneath is a work of art. I love her name and birthday that is embroidered on the inside hem.
My older brother Leo knit her a soft bonnet to wear with the dress. He has some pretty mean knitting skills. I had no idea he had been working on it, so it was a neat surprise!
We are so grateful for our families and all of their love and support! It was great to have them there with us to celebrate such an important day in Ann's life.
It was fun to have my baby brother Ted there, and able to participate in the blessing. He leaves in TWO WEEKS for the MTC!

It was also a neat day because there were 4 generations present:
My grandma (my mom's mom), me, Ann, and my mom (also Ann)

My friend Candace helped me get some great pictures of my two munchkins and of Annie in her dress. It's so hard to get pictures of William sometimes, but Candace did a great job, and really captured them! I love the pictures of them together. William really loves Ann, and you can tell that she really loves him, too!

The picture on the left is one of my favorites, because it really shows the stages that these two are in right now... I often catch William laying on the floor in this position, very carefully and very focused, driving his cars around, usually within a few feet of Ann, where she is taking the world in with her bright eyes, looking at everything around her.

A few days later, Ann was being so smiley, so I put her back in her dress to get some pictures of her while she was in such a good mood. Of course the smiles stopped, but she's still pretty darn cute!

By the time we thought about taking a family picture after church and lunch, William was over-due for a nap, so this is the best we could get (and a picture of William wouldn't be complete without Buzz or another character from Toy Story or Cars). I'm lucky to have such a wonderful husband, and we are so blessed to have such sweet kids!!

I love the picture of William leaning over her to give her a kiss. So precious.
