William has been making his guardian angels work double time lately. This boy is fearless. A few weeks ago he got bit by a dog. Luckily it didn't break the skin, just left a bruise. It was a little traumatizing, and we were worried about how he'd respond to dogs after that, but later, when he saw the dog again, he wanted to get down and play with it. Then a week later he ran off the side of the trampoline at my parents. Literally. Right off the side. I was inches away, running as FAST as I could to catch him, knowing exactly what was about to happen, and knowing I wasn't going to make it in time. I picked him up quickly scanning for broken bones, but nothing. He was a little shocked for a minute and cried, but when it came down to it, he was crying because I was holding him rather than letting him get down and play. Not a scratch. Now he can only play on the tramp if someone is on it with him, or if there's more than one person circling around ready to catch him when he makes a break for it. He loves it when Grandma takes him on and jumps with him. He is fun and adventurous, but I wouldn't mind a little bit of fear!

It amazes me just how adventurous he is. Watching him learn new things is awesome. He signs grandma, grandpa, fast, slow, go, bike, swim, car, train, bus, cat and fish. He can say dad, and says it every time we go for walks and can see Danny's office building. He has said mom before, but prefers to sign it. He can say meow and growls with the best of them. He says "out" whenever he wants to go out on the balcony. He shakes his head all the time to answer questions. Lot's of "no's" but lots of "yeses" as well. Walking down South Temple is hilarious as he stops to point and watch every bus, bike, motorcycle, and train.

Not only does he stop and point, but he does the sign for each one he sees. He prefers to push things over riding in the stroller, so we try and do a little of both.
Living downtown has been so fun. If we go down to State Street at the right time we see buses constantly for about 10 minutes. Even if we are on the balcony and he hears a bus he gets excited. He LOVES watching the construction vehicles. I've never seen him as excited as when a cement truck drove by. He is such a boy!

We sure love him!!!
