Busy summer!

I have tons of things I've been meaning to post for a while now, so we'll see how long we can make this post. The following updates are by no means in chronological order!

1-William's first Bees game!
We went to the Bees game on the 5th of July with my parents and little brothers. William was a star! This kid is so great! He was happy for the majority of the evening! After the game there were fireworks. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about how he'd react to them, but I don't know which was better: watching the fireworks, or watching him watch the fireworks! He was mesmerized!
Here he is downing a piece of honeydew while he watched the game. We've let him taste honeydew and cantaloupe, and honeydew is definitely his favorite of the two!2-William still loves the water. Only now he loves sitting up (with help of course) in it. So after one particularly hot trip to the zoo, I stuck him in the kitchen sink to cool him off. I put the sponge from his bath in there to help hold him and he LOVED it. There was water every where. It was hilarious to watch.Watching his toes wiggle... I love those cheeks and that chub!!

3-SOLIDS!!! At his four month check up, Dr Fox told us to try giving him cereal at night before he goes to bed, because he was waking up hungry too often. It definitely has helped, and he LOVES eating. I swear, this kid doesn't care how the food gets in his mouth, as long as it gets there!
We started mixing different baby food fruits in the cereal to change the taste, and it's funny to see his reactions. We've tried a new one about every week. Bananas are the best, with apples in second place. He liked pears, but he was a really fussy nurser whenever he ate them, so those are out for a while. My favorite was when we gave him peaches. He ate a couple of bites and started crying. But he'd keep opening his mouth for more! So we'd put another bite in, and he'd swallow it and cry again. It was soo funny! We didn't torcher him for long though. We'll try them again when he's a little older.
4-THE ZOO!!!!
Can I just say that I LOVE the zoo? Danny and I got a Hogle Zoo pass this year and William and I have gone just about every week.
I know he doesn't really know what's going on, but he's so active whenever we go. I think he just loves all the noises and new things to look at. He does much better during the day when we are out and about a little bit.
We went with my sister Sarah (who you will sometimes find there on Saturdays dressed as the Red Robin...)
We also went with my good friend Sparkle (Mara) and her cute little girl Miela. Then last week we went with Spencer, Andrea and Thomas, and Natalie and her three boys.
The zoo is so different from when we went when I was little. The animals are definitely a lot happier! Although I do miss the tree slide. I think that was my favorite part.
This giraffe was standing by us, and almost as if on cue when I got my camera out, he walked over and "posed" next to the numbers. He wanted to show off how tall he was.Spencer had Thomas in the front carrier and it was fun to watch him get so excited! I can't believe he's almost 1!!!
The baby elephant, Zuri, is by far my favorite to watch. He's (or she? I don't know) so cute and playful!
Even the tigers are active. I just wish they'd replace the hippos. I liked those guys.
5-Landon's baby blessing!!!
On the fourth of July we got to go to Matt and Natalie's baby Landon's blessing. It's always a neat experience to watch fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, and friends circle around a new little life and use the Priesthood to give it a name and a blessing! William is lucky to have his two cousins close in age! Here they are:
6-Mother's Day!
This is really late. But I wanted to show off my Mother's Day gift from William. With the help of Danny, he made me a cute picture frame! Haha. It was so cute! The blue smudge is supposed to be a hand print. Maybe we'll be more successful next time.
I love this little guy! I'm so lucky to be his mom!7-last but not least-Another fun trip to the cabin!!!
This time Danny was able to come, so the three of us spent the night up there with Grandma and Grandpa Young. William once again amazed me with how good he was. Seriously. I'm so spoiled. He's the best. He went to bed with no problems at all, and slept until 5:00am. After he ate, he usually goes back to bed, but wanted to look around at his new surroundings and was up for an hour, but then slept till 9. What a good kid.
We also found these awesome campfire marshmellows. They are HUGE!
